WHAT THE ‘F’

Crafts, illustration, and textile design piece by graphic designer Claudia Aksha of Jakarta, Indonesia

“The name Girls Gone Wild is chosen for this zine because it resembles how radical feminists were in the past, which is out of the norm and have no fear. And this zine will fully talk about radical feminism and the impact of radical feminism in the 21st century. Girls Gone Wild Zine is a little bit different from other feminism zine because GGW Zine criticize feminism (not in a bad way). GGW Zine criticize what feminism or feminist today often to forget and missed in today’s context. GGW Zine is straightforward, sarcastic and out of the feminist norm. GGW Zine is still a feminist zine, just in a different way.

The materials chosen for this zine is very unconventional, it’s not like how zine is normally produced. The reason behind it is because I wanted to discusses radical feminism in a radical way which is going outside the norm of how a zine should be.”

—“The biggest lesson I’ve learned is, It’s okay. It’s okay for me to be kind to myself. It’s okay to be wrong. It’s okay to get mad. It’s okay to be flawed. It’s okay to be happy. It’s okay to move on.”

In Japan, radiation creates monsters (Godzilla) and in America radiation creates superheroes

Shockingly, it’s almost like Japan and America have very different narratives surrounding nuclear fallout. Now, if we all think very very hard, maybe someone could think of why this might be.

can’t stop thinking about the cursed freaky friday dvd we got

Elaborate

so when freaky friday came out my family was OBSESSED like we rented it to the point where we decided to buy it but we couldn’t find a copy anywhere until we got one at a gas station on the edge of town. immediately we brought it home and turned it on. we couldn’t figure out how to turn the subtitles off but we loved it so much so we didn’t care. until a few minutes in. gradually the subtitles stopped matching the actual dialogue and at first it was like casual conversation that we didn’t think anything of then it started saying like “get in the car” and “they’ll never find you” and all this weird shit. we kept reading out of curiousity but then the sound cut out and it made a hissing noise. there was a deep voice that said “where’s bob” which is my dad who wasn’t home at the time so my mom hopped up and threw that fucker out

this didn’t stop our love so we bought another at walmart and didn’t have a problem

Witches were never burned at the stake during the Salem Witch Trials. Out of all the women and men convicted, 19 were sentenced to death by hanging, one was pressed to death under heavy stones, and others died in jail while awaiting trial- but no witches were executed by burning in the English colonies of North America, because the law did not permit it.
